Angus Forsyth & Marcus Atkinson - Heroes or mad fools?

Little George 1 This was a presentation from Hagerty's crew, Angus Forsyth and Marcus Atkinson, who drove a 1930 Austin 7 Ulster on the HERO London to Lisbon Rally in 2013.

"Little George" was one of the oldest cars in the rally and received the Veteran's Award along with the Spirit of the Rally Award after a journey of epic proportions.
About the London to Lisbon Rally
Little George 2 After an absence of seven years, the epic London-Lisbon Reliability Trial and Tour 6th edition finally arrived in 2013.

This 2013 edition of the famous London-Lisboa rally attracted entries from across the world, with participants from the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, the USA and Mexico.

His Excellency Mr João de Vallera, the Portuguese Ambassador to the UK, flagged off the 50 classic cars leaving on the sixth edition of the London-Lisboa Reliability Trial and Tour from Greenwich, England, on April 27th

The drivers, many of them hardened rally veterans but also a number of first timers, drove an average of 200/250 miles a day through England, France, Spain and Portugal before they arrived in Lisbon on May 5th, where Her Excellency Mrs Jill Gallard, the British Ambassador to Portugal received the crews and officially stoped the clocks alongside the Deputy Mayor of Lisbon, Mr Manuel Brito, on the famous Praca do Commercio.

Little George 4 The rally also attracted a complete cross section of famous classics ranging from a 1930 Austin 7 Ulster to a 1930 Riley Brooklands 9HP, a 1962 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud and a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS, amongst others.

The Rally is open to all cars up to end of 1983 and the 2,000-mile Classic Trial features "Tulip" regularities, handling and manoeuvrability tests.
